how is it done

Drag the cursor over your name, and at the bottom of your Internet screen, it should have the URL which is the link to your profile. The numbers at the end of this profile identify what registered user you are. E.g, I am user number 9,481,144. Another way is to click on your name, which takes you to your "profile" page, and then notice the number at the end of the address in the address bar.
