Are you maybe running several Java based applications?  Check there first, if that fails I would put the problem into the Google search engine and/or Groups area and see if anyone else has experienced the same issue.  Also what version of Java are you running, may want to try and update to the current version (which is JRE 6 version 10 I believe).

I CANNOT GET THE JAVA SYMBOL ON MY TASKBAR.I HAVE INT/EXP7,WHO SEEMS TO THINK THIS SITE IS UNSAFE,AND IS PUTTING ME BEHIND A FIREWALL.I HAVE THE LATEST VERSION
OF JAVA IN MY CONTROL PANEL.I HAVE DELETED THE JAVA CACHE
TO NO AVAIL.DO I NEED TO CHANGE TO ANOTHER,LIKE FIREFOX/MOZILLA.
