I propose a World Championship as follows: Groups of 8 players, each playing two 6-end matches per week, in a Round Robin format; 7 matches. Players who don't play their games will have "WalkoverWins" awarded against them. Groups will be "regional", according to time-zones. The top 4 players from each group continue to the second round, which will be in September. The top 4 players from the Norwegian Tournament, the UK & Irish Tournament, newellz's European Tournament (if it continues) and the Canadian Tournaments etc enter the second round. Those outside the top 4 from these events should play in the first round. The following rounds will be 8-ends, then 10-end final games which will be before Christmas. The "World Champion Curler for 2010" should be crowned then. If you wish to enter, sign up at

Good Luck, MuddyD - Scotland Team NL (also known as gillingham and Hard Core) previously "organised" a "World Curling Tournament". A few matches were played in GroupD, and one in Group A. It then went very quiet! The World Championship of Curling won't....
