Hi,

I like FOD very much because I like playing with other passionate players of board games from everywhere.

Recently I discovered that some of them are using a program to win. I don't understand what is the point in that. As the victory is not yours in that case but of a program.

I recently played a GoMoku game against a player (my last game on FOD, as I won't play for some time here again), and it was very clear I am not playing against a human. Even the clearest moves (like defending four in a row) took 30 seconds.

Then after talk with the opponent he confirmed he uses a program. (won't give the name of the prog here so that other losers won't use it).

If I want to play gomoku against a program, I can, I have one to exercise. And probably that's what I'll do from now on since I can't enjoy playing against humans here.

I know it is not an easy task to filter out real players against fakes, but at least when I report someone, make a box where I can explain why I report a certain person.

I went on reporting that guy and I could only tick two boxes. Not enough, if I would be a moderator I couldn't take decisions based on information alone.

Have a nice day and bye for now!

Alex
hi alexsimo

Play for Fun in Flyordie .. when you haven't Fun by playing , play not more
A quote from FOD rules:

"Using a computer to decide your moves in a board game (specifically chess, checkers, reversi, gomoku, nine men's morris, go, four in a row, pente and backgammon) on FlyOrDie is allowed.
FlyOrDie members have the right to know if they are playing against a computer. Therefore FlyOrDie uses a system to detect suspected program use, which will be indicated on the concerned players' info screen with a small icon."
