loading new software..
I have been trying to download the new software for the past few days..when I hit install I get a security warning saying 'failed to validate certificate'..how do I fix this as I cannot play any games without the new software?
Hi ,

Which browser are you getting this issue on?
I am having the same problem I wish someone would give us a solution cause I am tired of not being able to play and I have been playing for a while and with my rating going down everyday this is irritating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
First of all, you should try to clear the Java cache. See the bottom of this page:
http://www.flyordie.com/games/help/support/clearcache.html

Have you cleaned the *Java* cache? That is not the same as the browser cache.

This isnt good enough....l have no problems with the validity of the software...l just cant install it...l have cleared java cache, and used firefox, int exp and chrome all with the same result as my first post. If l am no nearer a solution by the end of business hours tomoro l will have no option but to end my membership and demand a refund.
What may help:

1. Check if your computer's date&time setting is correct. It's easy to miss a false year setting.

2. Download and save Solware's certificate from
http://www.flyordie.com/games/deploy/solware.p12

Then on the Java Control Panel / Security / Manage Certificates use the "Import" button to load the certificate into Java's keystore.
If importing the certificate succeeds the games should work.

3. Fully uninstall and reinstall Java, using the latest version.

4. Clear Java cache from the Java Control Panel (uninstalling Java won't clear the cache)

5. Check if default security settings are selected:
Java Control Panel / Security / Advanced
under "Advanced Security Settings" following options should be checked:
"Use certificates and keys in browser keystore"
"Enable list of trusted publishers"
"Enable blacklist revocation check"
"Enable caching password for authentication"
"Use SSL 3.0"
"Use TLS 1.0"
All other options should be unchecked.

Or here is copy/pasted text from link;

How to Clean a Java Cache Folder:

8<...snip

inside Java cache folder. The location of this folder usually is:
C:\Documents and Settings\
<user_name>
 \Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\

8<...snip

To empty the cache folder, access it with Windows Explorer. Select all files and subfolders and then press the "Delete" button on a keyboard, or select the File->Delete menu option. As this folder contains only cached files, no actual data is lost in the operation.

Warning! Be careful when deleting files. Make sure that you are deleting files inside the Java cache folder only. Otherwise you may damage your system!
Actually, this problem has been resolved.
File access rights were messed up so Java couldn't access its keystore file.
The solution was:
1. uninstall Java
2. manually delete all Java files that are not deleted during uninstallation (Users\ <user> \AppData\LocalLow\Sun)
3. reinstall Java
Okay so I tried the link and followed the instructions but now when I try to import the certification it says General Exception
FileNotFoundException:
c:\user\<USERNAME>\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\security\trusted.certs
(Access is denied)

Please Help I am really tired of messing with this
Here are the codes some techii please figure out why we can't play the game!!!!!!!!!!!!

This seems to be the same problem: file access rights are messed up for the file trusted.certs.

1. uninstall Java

2. delete this folder manually:
c:\user\<USERNAME> \AppData\LocalLow\Sun

3. reinstall Java. (You can start the game without Java, it should display an automated Java installation option)
also possible that after downloading Java you have to make sure that your java plugin is enabled.
what is all this new software thing about?
i havent downloaded anything new but my games still work fine :)

is there some download link i need to be installing?
