I do not agree that a player should lose the game if they click off the playing area, but I do think there should be a system where the player's status changes everytime they click off the playing area. Back when Vinco Online Games was the premier checkers site, they had a system where the player's names would turn blue anytime they opened another window. This could be a good compromise, as it would begin to weed out some of the programmers on the site.
