Can someone please explain how a gammon can be awarded if no checkers have been born off by anyone? I know of no rule that allows this, and yet it keeps happening to me here on FOD if I resign! Please get this fixed.

The game should allow you to specify whether resigning for a game, gammon or backgammon, and the opponent should be able to reject the resignation if it seems unfair. That wouldn't work here, as you could simply exit the game instead of resigning, so (as it seems to me - someone please correct me if I am wrong) the game computes the likely outcome and awards points accordingly. It would be nice to know how the computation is done; possibly it's just pip count difference. Can an operator comment?
