Almost half the time, when I throw a shot with full weight, it starts off way inside of the broom. I'm talking the broom is in the 8 foot and the rock never leaves the center line. Are other people having this problem? It's quite frustrating!

Full weight takeouts

I noticed that too. In the practising mode I tried to do full weight rocks in row. I didnt move the mouse at all. And all of a sudden one full weight takeout was completely different from the beginning. It started inside the broom as you noticed. I'm not sure why the curling program is doing that. A possibility could be, that sometimes rocks catch dirt in real curling and therefore change the curl.
Get over it guys. If you ever really curled you would understand that a curler does not hit the broom everytime. This is the key to the whole game. Just makes it more realistic. In a perfect world I could understand your concern. In the real world, (or at least in Canada), that's just another reason to go up for a "pop" after the game and discuss the shoulda, woulda, coulda aspect of the game.
I understand what you're saying, but for all other shots it is reliable and predictable. Just every so often with full weight in-turns, it goes nowhere near where you aim. If it did that across the board, I'd agree with you, but why only on the one shot? It seems like a bug in the game more than anything.
I just played a player who seems to be exploiting the bug and running a defense based on that.
I've had the odd shot start inside the broom (not just big weight shots). My main problem with the full weight though is that it simply isn't big enough. There's no way a rock should curl a full stone's width with the heaviest weight.
