Questions about side/spin
2 questions:

1) Is there anything that can be done about the sensitivity when using sides on the cue ball? (pull back and follow thru)

2) When I play with side on the cue ball, not much seems to change, its like hitting in the centre of the white. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for the link. What about the fact that if u hit on the bottom of the cue ball, the ball will screwback too fast, its so unrealistic.
Hey,

To answer your questions about spin, I also had problems controlling and using spin. I went into practice mode and experimented to gain further knowledge.

The ball screwing back too fast is realistic. If you noticed in real snooker. By putting full on back spin the ball will screw back faster ( unless less power. However if you put just a tiny back spin on the ball, the ball will not screw back as much. This is all due to the amount of spin you put on the ball to determine the effects.

To make it easier for you to understand, go into practice mode and take a shot with pure back spin. And then do the same shot with only a tiny back spin, you will notice the difference immediately.

Hope this helps,

Kind Regards,

Warren.
Cheers Warren

But when u do this: maximum screwback and a hard shot, the cue ball will bounce back and forth from baulk to top cushions 7-8 times or more. That doesnt happen in real snooker.
I agree with warren,if you tend to strike the cue ball with power, you will need to reduce the amount of spin you put on the ball, you can also treat the cue ball like the face of a clock for using spin, provided you are also using the cushions from it,you can also use spin to "turn" an object ball, but that's best left to the good players, which i'm not one of them, another small tip, when in practice, use the cue tip(a) as a guide to the object ball (c),by striking the cue ball(b)dead centre.if i am wrong,i'm sure other players will correct me.gl.
