Minimum Number of Ends Played in Tournaments
FOD needs to change the rules in tournaments to make it a fair representation of games/ends played by contestants. In a recent tournament, a player who only played 4 ends was allowed to be placed in the top ten because that player stopped playing with 44 pts. Other players who played as many as 9 ends were placed at a disadvantage because they continued to play throughout the tournament. I think there needs to be a minimum number of ends that must be played in order to place in the top 10 in any tournament.
FoD will do as they always do ..... NOTHING.
I agree, a player can also win 3 or 4 matches & stick & be top 3-5. Hardly seems fair.
Number of ends in a tournament is not enough, a player can loose with purpose the first 2 games (no loosing points) and then win the last 4 games and get a top placement.
