Penalize quitters at Othello
Penalize quitters at Othello
Penalize quitters at Othello
I understand that if a player quits then he loses. But I'm tired of so many who quit because I'm winning and won't give me the satisfaction of ending the game. I propose that all who quit lose double points or that all who quit must have to wait an hour to play, etc. There should be a greater penalty for quitters. Thanks.
Have you never heard of a chess player tipping over his king because he sees he can no longer win, the end is near? Do you need to rub it in, winning isn't good enough for you.
Sometimes real life is more important, example, if I'm halfway through a game and there is a knock at my door or my phone rings, I leave the game, regardless of whether I am winning or not. It's just a game, I'll get my points back.

If people want to leave early, I don't say punish them further, they will lose their points, I think it's enough.
